In this guide:
What is the Bluebeam Tool Chest?
The Tool Chest is a panel within Bluebeam Revu that stores your custom markup tools, symbols, and frequently used annotations. It acts as your personal or team library of markup resources, allowing you to access any saved tool quickly without recreating it each time.
Accessing the Tool Chest
To open the Tool Chest in Bluebeam Revu:
- 1Open any PDF document in Bluebeam Revu.
- 2Go to Window in the top menu bar.
- 3Click Tool Chest from the dropdown menu.
- 4The Tool Chest panel will appear on the right side of your screen.
Organising Your Tool Chest
You can create groups and sub-groups within the Tool Chest to organise tools by discipline, project type, or client. Drag and drop tools between groups to keep your library tidy. Rename groups by right-clicking on the group header.
Importing and Exporting Tool Sets
Use the Tool Chest menu (small arrow icon in the panel header) to import and export BTX files. Exporting allows you to back up your tool sets or share them with colleagues.
